This healthy raspberry Greek yogurt smoothie is packed with protein, fibre, calcium, and antioxidants. Everyone loves the bright pink colour and cold, creamy texture.

Hi everyone! Hope you had a great weekend. Hard to believe that we are officially halfway through August. My mom just reminded me that it has been exactly a year since our trip to Prince Edward Island. 2022 is flying by!
With many of you going back to school and work soon, I’m aiming to share some super satisfying and healthy breakfast recipes over the next few weeks.
Eating a balanced breakfast that contains plenty of protein, fat, and complex carbohydrates sets the stage for balanced blood sugar and energy levels throughout that day. It is so important for success at school, work, and life in general! Rule to live by: Don’t skip breakfast!

smoothie bowl love
I love smoothie bowls, and make them for breakfast every so often. I like them more than smoothies, since they are thicker and can be eaten with a spoon. And because you can add a variety of toppings, they are much more filling than smoothies.
This raspberry Greek yogurt smoothie bowl is a new favourite! Greek yogurt gives it a ton of protein without the need for any protein powder. It also helps to thicken your smoothie bowl, along with frozen banana, frozen raspberries, and ground flaxseed.
Making it couldn’t be easier, either. All you need are a handful of ingredients and a couple of minutes!

raspberry Greek yogurt smoothie bowl ingredients
To make this smoothie bowl, you’ll need the following:
- Greek yogurt: Protein- and calcium-rich Greek yogurt provides a creamy base for this smoothie bowl.
- Frozen banana: Bananas are well known for being a rich source of potassium. They are also rich in vitamin B6. Vitamin B6 plays an important role in the production of the neurotransmitters serotonin and dopamine, both of which contribute to healthy mood and emotion regulation. You must use frozen bananas in a smoothie bowl, as this is what contributes to the signature thick, creamy texture.
- Frozen raspberries: Raspberries are low in sugar and high in antioxidants, including vitamin C and quercetin. Both of these antioxidants boost immune function! It is important to use frozen raspberries so that the smoothie bowl is super thick.
- Ground flax: Ground flax helps to thicken this smoothie bowl while providing a boost of plant-based omega 3s.
- Sea salt: Using a tiny pinch of sea salt helps to bring out the sweetness of the fruit. That’s why salt is added to desserts! Plus, we need some sodium at every meal, especially us active people who lose a lot of electrolytes through sweat.
- Liquid: You might need 2-4 tablespoons of liquid (I just used almond milk) to help with blending.

raspberry greek yogurt smoothie bowl: frequently asked questions
Absolutely! Replace the raspberries with frozen blueberries, frozen cherries, or frozen mango. Don’t replace the banana, though. It is essential for sweetness and creaminess.
I love my Vitamix. You can use a standard blender, but the smoothness that a Vitamix can achieve without making the smoothie too watery is unparalleled by cheaper blenders.
No. Unlike regular smoothies, a smoothie bowl must be made right before you eat it so that it stays frozen and spoonable rather than drinkable.
