Hey everyone, it’s time for another What I Ate Wednesday! I don’t eat the same foods every single day; some days it’s super “clean,” while other days I indulge a fair bit, and I consider both to be healthy. This is what I think of as normal eating: eating for enjoyment and health at the same time. I hope that you find these types of posts fun, lighthearted, and that they inspire you to enjoy your food to the fullest!
First, a disclaimer that this post is for entertainment and informational purposes only. 🙂
This is what I ate last Sunday:
breakfast
I had half of a grapefruit, which I forgot to take a picture of, then made part one of my breakfast: a yogurt and fruit bowl with whole milk organic yogurt, frozen blueberries, nectarine, hemp, and ground flax.
Then I had two slices of twelve grain toast with sunflower seed butter and honey, and coffee.
lunch
I would usually workout before lunch, but I always take Sundays off from intense exercise, so I went for a walk before lunch instead, then came home and warmed up some beet pesto and caramelized fennel pizza that I had made for pizza Friday (recipe coming to the blog in August). I had some raw veggies, homemade tzatziki leftover from the night before, and kimchi on the side.

And an apple for “dessert.” (Once again, I forgot to take a picture.)
I wasn’t all that hungry on Sunday, so I didn’t have an afternoon snack. But often, I do have something, like some granola and yogurt, a raw brownie, or an oatmeal bar.
supper
We were over at my brother and his fiancee’s in the afternoon, and stayed for dinner. My mom and I made my Santa Fe Chicken Salad with a couple of modifications, and served it in pitas, with chips and veggies on the side… and kombucha.
dessert
Dessert was chocolate gelato with local strawberries and my favourite classic peanut butter oatmeal cookies.
Hopefully this post helps you, whether that’s inspiring you to try a new recipe, developing a healthier relationship with food, or you simply enjoy reading about what other people eat (that’s me!).
Have a great day and see you tomorrow with a new watermelon mint green juice recipe!
