Are you the kind of person who loves to go out for dinner on Valentine’s Day, or do you prefer to avoid the crowded restaurants and enjoy an intimate dinner in? I’ve always fallen into the latter camp, and although I have to work on Valentine’s Day this year, I wanted to craft a special vegan Valentine’s Day menu for all the homebodies out there!

Whether you celebrate Valentine’s Day, Galentine’s Day, or take the opportunity to shower yourself and yourself only with love, I think that this is menu will please pretty much anyone: vegans and omnivores alike. There’s a nice appetizer, drink, salad, main dish, and, of course, dessert. I’m also including some other Valentine’s Day-appropriate recipes after the menu to provide you with some other options if you’d like to veer off of the main menu.

Without further ado, behold the vegan Valentine’s Day menu of your dreams!

    Appetizer

This photo is an overhead shot of vegan Moroccan lentil dip topped with pomegranate and parsley.

Start with Moroccan Lentil Dip served with pitas, artisanal bread, crackers, and vegetables.

Pomegranate Orange Gin and Tonic Recipe (Tonic Water-Free)

Whip up a creative cocktail to go with your appetizer, such as my Pomegranate Orange Gin and Tonic. Not a gin and tonic fan? Check out Cookie and Kate’s cocktail recipes–she has lots to choose from!

    Salad

this photo shows an overhead view of the avocado kale caesar salad.

This Avocado Kale Caesar Salad is the perfect pairing for your main dish. Topped with roasted squash, beets, and sunflower seed parmesan, it’s totally delectable.

    Main Course

lentil walnut mushroom bolognese in a bowl sprinkled with sunflower seed parmesan

Lentil, Walnut, and Mushroom Bolognese is so romantic. Plus, the combination of ingredients resembles the texture of meat. A generous splash of red wine is the secret to making a crave-worthy vegan bolognese sauce. 🙂

Serve the salad and the pasta together, or enjoy the salad beforehand. Either way, pair it with a special bottle of local and/or organic vegan wine. And make sure to save some room for dessert, because you’re not going to want to skip it!

    Dessert

this photo shows a mini vegan chocolate cheesecake on a plate with a bite taken out of it.

Serve these No-Bake Vegan Mini Chocolate Cheesecakes for dessert and earn some serious brownie points from your significant other.

an alternative vegan valentine’s day menu

Pasta and kale caesar salad not your style? Here is another menu option!

this image shows a container of homemade hummus topped with olive oil and olives surrounded by colourful vegetables.

Classic hummus is always a hit, and this one is particularly tasty.

a fully dressed homemade beyond meat burger

If your man (or woman) is a total meat lover, my Homemade Beyond Meat Burgers are sure to impress!

Festive Kale, Pomegranate, Pepita, and Sweet Potato Salad Recipe

Pair those burgers with this Sweet Potato, Pomegranate, and Pepita Kale Salad!

(You’re going to want to serve the burgers and salad with your favourite craft beer.)

a photo showing a dish of ice cream topped with vegan hot fudge sauce, banana, and cherries.

For dessert, make something simple yet elegant, like hot fudge sundaes made with Coconut Bliss Madagascan Vanilla Bean flavour and my 5-Minute Vegan Hot Fudge Sauce.

I hope that you find something you love in any or all of these recipes! If you make any of them, be sure to leave a comment below letting us know how you liked them, and post a photo to Instagram with @upbeet.kitchen and #upbeetkitchen, too!
