This espresso, almond butter, and maca smoothie is ultra energizing. Maca is an adaptogen that helps the body adapt to stress while also increasing energy and stamina. Combined with banana, espresso, almond butter, and coconut milk, this is one power-packed smoothie!


  • 2 shots of espresso or 1/3 cup strong brewed coffee, chilled
  • 2 tbsp full fat coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 large frozen banana
  • 12 tbsp almond butter
  • 12 tsp maca powder
  • 1/8 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 scoop vegan vanilla protein powder (I used Genuine Health organic fermented vegan protein) OR sub 1 pitted soft Medjool date + 1 tbsp chia seeds or ground flax + pinch of salt)
  • 1 ice cube


  1. Place the chilled espresso or coffee, coconut milk, almond milk, banana, almond butter, maca, cinnamon, protein powder or date, chia, and salt, and ice cube in a blender and blend until very smooth.
  2. Pour into a 16-oz glass and enjoy immediately.
