Ingredients

- Scant 3/4 cup unsweetened non-dairy milk
- 1 large or 2 small frozen bananas, chopped
- 1 tbsp hemp hearts (hulled hemp seeds)
- 1 tbsp ground flax seeds
- 1/4 of a medium ripe avocado
- 1 1/2 tbsp cocoa powder or raw cacao powder
- 1 tbsp almond butter or nut/seed butter of choice
- 1 scoop vegan vanilla-flavoured protein powder (see blog post for recommendations)
Instructions
- Place all ingredients in an upright blender and blend until smooth. The mixture should be quite thick.
- Transfer to a bowl and top with desired accompaniments: seasonal fruit, granola, cereal, nut/seed butter, and hemp.
